Marketing & Branding News:
Taco Bell is celebrating the freeing of the trademark on “Tuesday Tuesday” by offering a month of free Taco Tuesdays. From August 15 to September 12, customers can get a free seasoned Beef Nacho Cheese Doritos Locos Tacos at participating Taco Bell restaurants in the United States.
The promotion is a way for Taco Bell to thank fans for their support in the fight to keep Taco Tuesday free for everyone. In 2022, Taco John’s filed a trademark application for “Tuesday Tuesday,” which would have given the company exclusive rights to the phrase. However, after a public outcry, Taco John’s abandoned its application.
“We’re thrilled to celebrate the freeing of Taco Tuesday with a month of free tacos,” said Taco Bell Chief Marketing Officer, Taylor Montgomery. “We know our fans love Taco Tuesdays, and we’re glad we can continue to offer them for free.”
To get a free Taco Tuesday taco, customers can download the Taco Bell app and sign up for the Taco Bell Rewards program. On Tuesdays from August 15 to September 12, they can redeem their free taco at participating restaurants.
The free Taco Tuesday tacos are available in limited quantities, so customers are encouraged to act quickly. They can also get a free taco by signing up for Taco Bell’s email list or by following Taco Bell on social media.
Taco Bell’s month of free Taco Tuesdays is a great way to celebrate the return of this beloved tradition. So mark your calendars and head to Taco Bell on Tuesdays for a free taco.
