Marketing & Branding News:
New York, NY – Pepsi announced the launch of a 125-day celebration to honor the iconic beverage brand’s 125th birthday.
The party kicks off on August 28th, Pepsi’s official anniversary date, with the brand offering free sodas to consumers across the U.S. texting “PEPSI125” to 81234.
A highlight of the 125-day event will be the opening of The Pepsi 125 Diner, an immersive pop-up restaurant experience in New York City this October.
Inspired by Pepsi’s starring role in American pop culture, the Pepsi 125 Diner will feature diner fare and exclusive Pepsi menu items based on classic ads and viral sensations like the PEPSI-Cola and Pepsi PILK.
Diner guests can expect a dining experience celebrating Pepsi’s evolution with curated memorabilia displays and design elements paying homage to the brand’s advertising over the decades.
Tickets to the temporary restaurant start at $50 for a two-hour booking that includes a three course meal with Pepsi drinks. Fans can visit PepsiDiner.com to sign up for early ticket access before the general public sales open next month.
The New York diner is just one part of Pepsi’s 125th birthday plans, which will also see new commercials, social media activations, and consumer giveaways over the next few months as the brand transitions to an updated visual identity and logo.
This rebrand ushers Pepsi into a new era while still celebrating the legacy that turned Pepsi into a globally recognized household name, according to Pepsi’s Chief Marketing Officer Todd Kaplan.
“While Pepsi products may look different on shelves and signs, the great taste consumers love remains the same,” said Kaplan.
Pepsi invites fans nationwide to join in the celebration by following the company’s social media accounts for the latest 125th birthday announcements.
